Job summary

Loureiro Building Construction, LLC is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations from our Plainville, CT office. The role spans design/build, general contracting, and CM projects with a strong emphasis on safety, scheduling, and budget control.

The candidate will coordinate a diverse team of subs and internal staff, maintain client and regulatory relations, and ensure projects meet Loureiro’s quality standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leadership in dynamic construction environments.
• Strong decision-making with proactive problem solving.
• Effective coordination with clients, subcontractors and field staff.

Responsibilities

• Take a strategic role in preconstruction and risk assessments.
• Uphold schedules, control costs, report to stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues with minimal oversight.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards and regulations.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors and field personnel.
• Build relationships with clients, subs and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure on-site operations are safe, on time, within budget, to quality standards.
• Assist in schedules, manpower, equipment and materials planning.
• Conduct daily site walkthroughs and safety checks.
• Participate in quality control meetings and document findings.
• Promote safety practices and safe work culture.
• Provide feedback to Project Managers on performance and issues.
