Job summary

Consigli Construction in Washington State is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support on-site construction management for a project. This full-time exempt role reports to the Superintendent and General Superintendent and assists in daily field operations.

The position emphasizes safety program administration, interpreting drawings, guiding self-perform and subcontractor activities, and maintaining project schedules and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preferred in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 0-5 years of experience in construction field or related role.
• Understanding of building plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety standards and enforcement; OSHA 30 required.

Responsibilities

• Assist on-site management of construction activities on the project site.
• Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Provide technical assistance on the project; interpret contract drawings and submittals.
• Manage select self-perform and subcontractor operations including safety, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Assist Superintendent and Project Manager with daily/weekly tasks including reports and schedule updates.
• Understand project schedule and critical path; participate in short-term planning.
• Participate in quality program; attend meetings, inspections, and material verifications.
• Interface professionally with client representatives, A-E representatives, other contractors, and building officials.
• Participate in business development; leverage contacts for future leads.
• Attend monthly superintendent meetings, quarterly safety meetings, and training sessions.
• Develop skills to become a Superintendent; manage all project aspects.
