Job summary

The University of Miami is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant 2 for an on-site role in Miami, FL. The MA2 will support physicians, prepare exam rooms, perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy, and maintain accurate patient records under supervision of licensed staff.

The ideal candidate holds CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA credentials, BLS, and at least two years of relevant experience, with strong communication and confidentiality skills to ensure patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA certifications from recognized bodies.
• American Heart Association BLS for healthcare providers.
• HIV/AIDS CE certification (Florida).
• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with examinations and clinical procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform EKGs, phlebotomy and document findings.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with sterile technique.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate with the care team.
• Support in-clinic duties and patient care activities as directed.
