The University of Miami is seeking a Medical Assistant 1 to join the UHealth Department in Miami. You will provide hands-on patient care under supervision, assist with examinations, perform basic lab tasks and vital signs, and help manage patient records in a compliant, compassionate manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant educational program.
• Active MA certifications (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA or other).
• BLS certification for healthcare providers; HIV/AIDS CE training.

Responsabilités

• Assist providers with exams and prepare the exam room with supplies.
• Perform vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, and document results.
• Administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Maintain patient records and ensure privacy and accuracy.
• Schedule tests, stock supplies, and handle clerical duties.
• Follow policies and safety standards in a clinical setting.
