Job summary

SpaceXAI seeks a Civil Engineer for the Battery Storage team in Memphis, TN. The role focuses on civil/site design for high-capacity power systems, coordinating with electrical teams and ensuring NFPA 855 spacing and safety compliance.

You will work on-site with a small team, travel to other sites, and support construction through issued-for-construction packages and field issue resolution. On-site work includes challenging environments and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Own civil/site design for battery storage plant: pads, foundations, grading, drainage, access roads.
• Support fire and life-safety civil provisions: water supply, hydrant layout, venting, emergency access.
• Coordinate seismic/severe-weather design basis for storage blocks and equipment supports.
• Produce issued-for-construction civil packages: site plans, sections, details, specs, bid support.
• Resolve field RFIs and installation quality issues during construction.
• Coordinate underground ducts, oil containment, grounding with Design/Ops/Build.
