Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks a Chassis Engineer II - Investigation to advance chassis quality for Hyundai/Genesis/Kia vehicles. You will lead field investigations, analyze data, and coordinate with vendors to meet project schedules.

The role requires 3+ years in QA/QC or vehicle quality investigation, a BS in Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive engineering, and up to 30% travel domestically and internationally. On-site work environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of QA/QC, Quality Improvement, or Vehicle Quality Investigation & Root Cause Analysis.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
• Flexibility with travel (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Investigate and support testing of chassis quality issues by responding to requests from various Hyundai groups and affiliates.
• Know­ledge of Chassis Fundamentals (NVH, brakes, fuel, HVAC, steering, suspension).
• Conduct field or on-site investigations to collect data and diagnose root causes.
• Analyze data to validate improvements and communicate findings through reports.
• Benchmark competitive designs and TSBS to research differences and enhance systems.
• Study market trends from external indices and customer feedback to inform improvements.
• Research and procure new technologies and data acquisition tools.
• Manage schedules and coordinate with outsourced vendors to meet contract requirements.
• Assist vendors and resolve issues to maintain project schedules.
• Create and present technical reports as assigned.
• Maintain QA/QC principles and practices.
