Job summary

Academy Camps in Suffield, CT is seeking an Operations Assistant & Coach to support day-to-day camp operations, program delivery, and dorm life across the full summer session. You’ll drive campers and staff, help with events, setup, dorm supervision, and coordinate with directors to ensure a safe, engaging experience for 10-15 campers per dorm.

This seasonal role includes on-site housing, room and board, and a possible Camper Referral bonus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of sports experience.
• For driving duties: must be 21+ with at least 5 years of driving and a valid US license.
• Experience working with youth in sports or educational programs.
• Desire to gain experience within a youth sports start-up.
• Strong relationship-building and coaching mindset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary driver to transport campers and staff on arrival, departures, and trips.
• Maintain timely schedules and communicate with Operations for trips and travel; perform basic vehicle checks.
• Execute daily setups, clean-ups, and resets across campus for activities.
• Provide facilities and logistics support: tent/setup, signage, snack shack, Lost & Found.
• Assist with inventory management, program setup/teardown, and other ops tasks.
• Support Leadership Team as needed by overall camp operations.
