Job summary

Camp Grady Spruce YMCA is seeking a Resident Camp Program Director who will live on site and coordinate the summer resident camp program, weekends, and conferences. The role requires oversight of staffing, health and safety, and program delivery, with responsibility for a $1.8 million budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Three to five years of Summer Residence Camp experience preferred
• Five years of supervisory and administrative experience
• Two plus years of leading staff training
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for the Camp Grady Spruce Summer Resident Camp program.
• Oversee all aspects of the summer camp operation including staffing, programming, health and safety, and marketing/business aspects.
• Create and monitor Summer Resident Camp budget (multi-function, $1.8 million).
• Assist in other camp operations as needed to ensure camp success; train staff and support various activities.
• Provide support to volunteers during campaigns and other campaign-related needs.
• Respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner to demonstrate customer relations.
• Utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple programs and tasks simultaneously.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through interpersonal and managerial leadership.
• Handle controversial situations with tact and manage difficult individuals, including children and parents.
• Exercise discriminating and independent judgment in various situations.
• Establish and maintain harmonious relationships with staff, YMCA members, participants, and the public.
• Budget development and monitoring to ensure financial responsibility.
