Cornell Cooperative Extension seeks a Camp Director to oversee supervisor staff, health and safety for campers, and coordination of program operations at the NY camp. This on-site role requires 24 weeks of supervisory camping experience, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

• Must have at least 24 weeks of administrative or supervisory experience in camping or related experience.
• Must be able to live on site.
• Must meet acceptable background check standards if required.

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Direction – 45%: Lead unit staff guidance and communication, conduct staff meetings, direct staff evaluation processes, implement performance improvement strategies, recognize outstanding performance.
• Management – 45%: Communicate with Unit Coordinators and CIT Coordinator to address camper health, emotional well-being, and safety; supervise and evaluate staff; ensure policy compliance; maintain health and safety standards.
• Coordination/Operation – 5%: Assist with camper arrival/departure processes and orientation; assist with staff training.
• Professional Improvement – 5%: Develop professional development plan with Supervisor and Executive Director; collaborate in activities supporting Cornell Cooperative Extension.
