Job summary

Marquee Staffing is hiring a Café Barista (Closer) for an on-site corporate café in Irvine, CA. You will prepare beverages and food, deliver friendly service, and help maintain a welcoming environment.

This contract (temp-to-hire) role offers Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, 40 hours per week, with pay up to $20/hour depending on experience. On-site work with a focus on accuracy and guest experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of specialty coffee experience
• Strong communication and customer focus
• Dependable, organized, and able to multitask with effective time management
• Ability to manage stress and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
• Valid Food Handler’s card or ServSafe certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Nice-to-have experience coaching/train new team members

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality beverages and food while delivering top-notch customer service
• Build familiarity with café items and ingredients
• Recommend items and pairings based on guest purchases
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Communicate with guests clearly and professionally
• Stay composed during busy periods and unexpected situations
• Anticipate guest needs and respond to questions
• Help train new team members and reinforce standards
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow health and safety guidelines
