Job summary

Selvaggio Steel in Springfield, IL is seeking a CAD/Production Technician to work in-house. This role requires collaboration with engineers, contractors, architects and production staff, and there is no remote option.

You will analyze drawings, estimate fabrication costs, and perform 3D modeling in AutoCAD or REVIT, using engineering math and computer software. A strong communicator who can work with clients and follow through without supervision is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to multi-task and enjoy solving problems while communicating with construction clients.
• Proficient in interpreting architectural/engineering drawings.
• Strong computer skills and engineering math.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with engineers, contractors, architects and production staff.
• Consulting with industry experts to discuss cost estimates and/or manufacturing drawings.
• Using computer software to calculate cost estimates or document the fabrication process.
