Job summary

Tulsa County is seeking Organization Inspectors to perform on-site inspections of structures under construction, repair, and alteration to ensure compliance with adopted building and zoning codes. The role also includes reviewing plans, issuing permits, and coordinating with contractors and officials.

You will work in a safety-sensitive environment with established policies. A high school diploma and extensive field experience are required, with Oklahoma licenses preferred; competitive hourly

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from a standard four-year high school and extensive experience in the building, plumbing or construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of Codes and regulations pertaining to building construction and inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site structural, mechanical, and plumbing inspections of buildings under construction, repair, and alteration.
• Inspect footings, foundations, framing, and completion for compliance with safety and zoning regulations.
• Issue building permits in collaboration with offices and investigate zoning violations.
