Job summary

You will collaborate with engineers and technicians, calibrate protection settings, interpret schematics, perform tests, document results, and support installation and commissioning while adhering to NEC, OSHA, and IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with electrical systems, circuit breakers, or power distribution equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and protection systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Configure and set up circuit breakers according to engineering specifications and operational requirements.
• Perform calibration and adjustment of breaker protection settings (trip curves, overload protection, fault settings).
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Conduct testing and verification of breaker performance and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve configuration or operational issues in breaker systems.
• Maintain accurate records of configurations, test results, and system changes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, OSHA, IEEE).
• Support installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers on system upgrades and improvements.
• Assist in root cause analysis for breaker failures or electrical incidents.
