Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Biostatistician to join our on-site R&D team in Welkom. You will design trials, analyze data, and interpret results for collaboration with epidemiologists and clinicians.

The role requires a PhD/Masters in biostatistics and at least 4 years in pharma or academia, with strong SAS/R/SPSS skills and excellent communication for regulatory interactions.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of Biostatistics experience in pharma/biotech/academic research.
• Proficiency in SAS, R, or SPSS.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design and statistics.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in on-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Design clinical trials and epidemiological studies; develop analysis plans.
• Perform statistical analyses using SAS, R, or SPSS.
• Interpret results and communicate to teams and regulators.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of statistical data collection and reporting.
