Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform planned maintenance on complex medical equipment at our Kansas City, MO site. The role emphasizes equipment performance, safety, environmental standards, and outstanding customer service.

You will evaluate issues, perform repairs, conduct inspections, document actions, and help manage inventory while guiding other technicians.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's or Bachelor's in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience; or military training with similar experience; or high school diploma with 4+ years of medical equipment service.
• Current technical certifications are preferred.
• Experience in hospital or clinical environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, diagnose, repair, and perform planned maintenance on complex medical equipment.
• Evaluate issues and execute repairs with documentation of actions taken.
• Inspect, test, and verify equipment to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory and spare parts; train/guide fellow technicians as needed.
• Possibly take on site leadership duties and ensure safety/regulatory standards are met.
