Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Michigan is seeking a Billing Specialist for a full-time, on-site role in Grand Rapids. You will process patient bills and insurance claims, support daily and month-end billing, and deliver exceptional service to patients, caregivers, medical providers, and insurers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, pharmacy technician certification per state rules, and 1+ years of billing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration per state requirements; National Certification preferred (PTCB) may be required (pharmacy specific).
• 1+ years of related billing experience or equivalent.
• Advanced computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy information systems.

Responsibilities

• Process patient bills and insurance claims in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assist with daily and month-end billing functions, reporting, and inquiries.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, caregivers, medical providers and insurers.
• Research and resolve billing issues related to eligibility, coverage, and benefits.
• Enter patient information into billing/pharmacy systems accurately.
• Maintain and audit patient files for payer/audit compliance.
• Follow HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
