Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Bilingual Senior Database Engineer (DBA) to own and optimize our data infrastructure across MySQL, OceanBase, Redis, MongoDB, and Oracle. You will lead large migrations, improve performance, and design scalable database architectures for a high-volume logistics platform.

The role requires 5+ years DBA experience, strong cross-cloud migration skills, and fluency in English and Mandarin. On-site in Montebello, CA with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a computer-related field and 5+ years of DBA experience.
• Deep MySQL expertise with InnoDB, GTID, and sharding experience.
• Redis familiarity with data structures, persistence, clustering, and governance.
• Oracle operations and performance optimization knowledge.
• Led at least 2 TB-level cross-data-center or cross-cloud migrations.
• Strong ability to tune performance across hardware, OS, and DB parameters.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-availability deployment, monitoring, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting of MySQL, OceanBase, Redis, MongoDB, and Oracle.
• Lead TB-scale online migrations across data centers and clouds (Azure/AWS) with zero data loss.
• Analyze slow queries, optimize indexes, improve Redis hit rate, and tackle high-concurrency bottlenecks.
• Participate in schema reviews, develop sharding and read-write separation solutions, and governance SOPs.
• Develop automated ops tools for backups, health checks, and capacity forecasting.
• Collaborate with development and operations to fix database issues for order systems and dashboards.
