Job summary

Our Next Energy, Inc. in Novi, MI is seeking an Operator, Cell Production Technician to support lithium-ion battery cell production on a full-time, on-site basis. The role emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping, and teamwork on fast-paced lines.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm. You will operate and monitor equipment, follow work instructions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality and safety goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or a comparable educational background.
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and adapt to new work environments.
• Comfortable learning new technology.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain outstanding attendance and punctuality.
• Follow standard work procedures and quality requirements.
• Operate complex manufacturing equipment under supervision.
• Monitor production processes and escalate issues to support teams and leaders.
• Perform production tasks in line with operational standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional partners to meet objectives.
• Perform other duties to support business needs.
