Job summary

Fortune-Johnson LLC is seeking an on-site Assistant Project Manager for multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of experience on large-scale builds, with a focus on schedule, budget, safety, and client relationships.

This role serves as the main site representative, coordinating with superintendents and subcontractors to keep projects on track. The position emphasizes administrative leadership, accurate documentation, and proactive communication with clients

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in wood-frame or multifamily construction.
• Experience on projects over $20M where applicable.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Estimating in the Preconstruction process.
• Review project plans, requirements and specifications.
• Help create project-specific logistics and safety plans.
• Create scopes of work detailing Fortune-Johnson requirements.
• Select and procure subcontractors in a timely manner.
• Ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time.
• Monitor schedule, cost, quality and procedures.
• Manage project budgets and monthly cost updates.
• Oversee pay requests and billing process.
• Manage RFI, submittal, and change order processes.
