Job summary

JR & Co. is hiring an Architectural Cladding Superintendent to lead field crews on commercial envelope projects in Cedar Rapids, IA.

You will oversee installations across Insulated Metal Panels, Standing Seam, Metal Composite Material, and related wall systems, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance while delivering top quality workmanship. This hands-on leadership role offers growth in a veteran-owned company with a strong project backlog and opportunities to build lasting

Qualifications

OSHA 30-Hour certification required; EM385-1-1 and 24-Hour Fall Protection training preferred/required where applicable.
Certified in rigging, signaling, and operating equipment.
Hands-on knowledge of architectural cladding systems and accessories (e.g., Insulated Metal Panels, Standing Seam, Metal Composite Material).
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and specifications.
Proven ability to lead crews, manage resources, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Provide daily leadership and oversight of field crews and subcontractors, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards.
Conduct daily jobsite visits and inspections to ensure workmanship and OSHA compliance.
Lead pre-construction meetings and coordinate with Project Managers and Foremen.
Plan and schedule materials, equipment, subcontractors, and manpower to prevent delays.
Enforce safety standards, address hazards, and stop work if necessary.
Identify and resolve issues to maintain schedule and budget.
Track project progress and submit weekly reports on progress, safety, quality, and impacts.
Perform final quality inspections to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
