Job summary

Circuit of The Americas in Austin, TX is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to support installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems across venues and events. This full-time, on-site role requires working weekends and flexible hours around race weekends.

Qualified candidates will have 4–6 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience and a valid Texas Apprentice Electrician license. You will read blueprints, coordinate power setups for events, and ensure NEC and OSHA

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Ability to manage time and problem-solve under changing event schedules.
  • Capacity to work independently or in small teams on-site.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays during events.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, panels, outlets, and lighting.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and electrical upgrades across venues.
  • Coordinate temporary power setups for large-scale events.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and site plans.
  • Ensure NEC, local codes, and OSHA regulations are followed.
  • Support emergency power systems and event response as needed.
  • Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors on projects.
