Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our Chattanooga, TN facility. You will perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, troubleshoot issues, and support engine removal/installation as needed.

A strong focus on safety, accuracy and teamwork is essential. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, an FAA Airframe or Powerplant license (Airframe preferred for AMT I), and 0–6+ years in aviation maintenance.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred for AMT I.
• Minimum 0–2 years in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar; ability to work under supervision.
• AMT II requires 2–4 years of aviation maintenance experience; corporate aircraft exposure preferred.
• AMT III requires 4–6+ years in aviation maintenance; broad knowledge of assignments.
• AMT IV (Master) requires Airframe and Powerplant licenses and 6+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system failures.
• De-fuel aircraft and perform engine removal/installation.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist in taxiing.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components; maintain shop facilities and tools.
• Maintain communications in English and document work clearly.
• Follow FAA guidelines and company safety rules.
