Job summary

OnPoint is seeking a full-time Accounting Supervisor to oversee accounting staff in daily operations, prepare journal entries, review invoices, and manage month- and year-end closes, ensuring GAAP compliance.

The role involves implementing new programs, training staff, and supervising accounts payable, payroll, grants, and audits. This position requires hands-on leadership and a strong background in accounting controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent, verifiable accounting experience.
• Minimum of three to four years' accounting experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards applied to maintaining financial controls and accounting records as well as demonstrated technological skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and significant ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing, accounts payable, and provider claim payment functions including, but not limited to.
• Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties.
• Review semi-monthly accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy including vendor, disbursement amount, and general ledger distribution code.
• Supervise and manage the processing and payment of provider network claims, including inpatient claims and self-directed services paid through a FI.
• Ensure timely and accurate distribution and filing of annual 1099s.
• Oversee payroll function including biweekly payroll files and salary projections; file annual W-2s.
