Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group seeks a Shift Supervisor for its Batavia, IL plant to lead a new 3rd shift on a continuous, highly automated process. You will supervise about a dozen operators and drive scheduling, batch records, and issue resolution from the floor and control room.

This role requires hands-on chemical processing leadership, a strong safety focus, and the ability to balance floor work with desk duties. PSM exposure and steady career growth are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.”
• 5+ years leading people in hands-on chemical processing.
• Continuous process chemical experience required; related backgrounds welcomed.
• PSM exposure strongly preferred.
• Shift leadership in chemical manufacturing with the ability to decide without on-site management.
• Comfort splitting time between floor and desk; steady work history.

Responsibilities

• Direct a crew of roughly a dozen operators across process areas.
• Get ahead of reaction issues and process deviations; call when needed.
• Set batch schedules, verify raw material inventory, coordinate inbound unloads.
• Monitor systems from control room; enforce standards with operators.
• Document shifts, batch traceability, deviations; plan manual work.
• Own safety, housekeeping, and operating standards for the shift.
