Qualifications

• Experience directing or producing social video content, especially food/lifestyle brands.
• Sharp eye for food on camera: lighting, styling, angles, motion.
• Comfort directing talent and coaching performances in real time.
• Instincts for native social content versus polished production.
• Hands-on production: manage a small shoot end-to-end with a small crew.
• Familiar with creator-style/UGC on Instagram/TikTok.
• Able to work independently on a fast, recurring shoot cadence.
• Based in Los Angeles for regular in-person shoots.
• Strong communication and organization to keep shoots on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3-5 recurring social content shoots per month for a restaurant/culinary client.
• Direct talent on set, shaping performance and identifying the strongest moments.
• Guide food/product styling to ensure top appearance on camera.
• Capture raw, creator-style footage that feels authentic to social.
• Make real-time creative calls on framing, pacing, shot selection.
• Organize and hand off raw footage to the editing team for post-production.
• Partner with internal team to align concepts, shot lists, and goals.
• Bring a proactive, flexible approach to a fast-moving account with frequent turnaround.
