Job summary

FIRST SERVICE CREDIT UNION is looking for an AI Engineer responsible for architecting and implementing an on-premises AI platform. This role will establish foundational standards for AI development while working closely with Data Engineering and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have strong Python skills and experience in building and deploying machine learning applications for regulated industries. This is an on-site role with a focus on sensitive data handling and no cloud dependency.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in building and deploying LLM-based applications.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement FSCU’s on-premises AI platform from scratch.
• Establish standards for AI development and deployment at FSCU.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to define data contracts and feature pipelines.

Skills

Strong Python skills

Experience with ML/AI frameworks

Containerized deployment (Docker)

Understanding of data privacy and PII handling practices

Good communication skills

Education
