Job summary

SpaceX is looking for an Electrical On-Orbit Hardware Reliability Engineer to join their Starlink team in Redmond, Washington. In this role, you will analyze hardware failures on the Starlink satellite constellation, drive root cause investigations, and collaborate with engineers across various disciplines to mitigate anomalies. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or other STEM discipline.
• 1+ years of professional experience in hardware development or data analysis.
• Strong understanding of computers and programming languages (Python, C/C++).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and track on-orbit hardware failures for the Starlink satellite constellation.
• Drive root cause investigation for major on-orbit hardware anomalies.
• Perform electrical bench testing and develop engineering models of failures.

Skills

1+ years of experience with Python and/or SQL

Experience analyzing/designing electrical circuits

Strong understanding of failure mechanisms

Demonstrated ability to work in a highly cross-functional role

Education

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
