Job summary

Aspen Skiing Company is seeking a Steward/Prep Cook for on-mountain dining during Winter 2026-27. This seasonal, full-time position supports cleaning, food prep, and kitchen operations at multiple on-mountain locations.

The role requires prior kitchen experience and preferred ServSafe certification. Physical duties include standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs; evening and weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior work experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
• ServSafe or similar food safety course certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and stack all dishes properly.
• Store dishes and silver in the designated locations.
• Set up cleaning area and prepare dish machine for service.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and assist with pre/post shift cleaning.
• Assist with storage of food deliveries.
• Clean kitchen walls, floors, and associated areas.
• Disassemble, clean and re-assemble dishwasher.
• Post caution signs when floors are wet to ensure safety.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean order.
• Assist with preparing food items according to chef specifications.
• Follow daily preparation list to ensure items are ready for service.
• Report problems with food product or equipment to Executive Steward.

Education
