Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company in Snowshoe, West Virginia is seeking a Facilities Custodian for a flexible 9–11 month position to maintain clean, safe facilities and support the lodging department. Responsibilities include cleaning, stocking supplies, and routine inspections to ensure a welcoming workspace for staff and visitors.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and prior custodial experience. On-site housing and staff perks are available as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial or janitorial services.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing: dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces in offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Trash removal: collect and dispose of trash and recycling materials.
• Maintenance support: assist with minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs and reporting issues.
• Inventory management: maintain supplies of cleaning products and toiletries.
• Safety compliance: ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
