Job summary

Sun Valley Resort is seeking a Competition Services Crew II to lead on-hill closures and provide support for events this winter. The role covers setting up timing equipment, managing racecourse setup, and maintaining safety netting, with weekend/holiday/night flexibility essential.

The crew will transport supplies, assist with scoring and timing, and ensure equipment is prepared for each race or special event. A team-oriented, physically capable candidate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working on a team.
• Ability to carry heavy race equipment while skiing without using poles.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and nights.
• Be able to ski and be comfortable carrying equipment while skiing.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain and tear down of safety netting for events.
• Set up, maintain and tear down of closures for events.
• Maintain event surface and grounds to the highest standard with appropriate equipment.
• Transport all supplies and equipment needed for any on-hill event.
• Set up timing equipment and check wiring for timing and communications.
• Help set up and dismantle racecourses as needed.
• Manage gate inventory and rebuild supplies as needed.
• Record and transmit race results to Live Timing and Split-Second timing.
• Organize and prepare timing equipment for the following race/special event.
