Qualifications

• Knowledge of fish husbandry and aquaculture practices.

• Knowledge of standard microbiology assays for detection of finfish pathogens.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose infectious disease or factors contributing to morbidity/mortality in trout and salmon.
• Conduct necropsies and test tissue samples for pathogens.
• Participate in annual fish health management planning and improve health outcomes.
• Monitor farm performance data to identify health threats and opportunities.
• Apply therapeutic treatments in accordance with regulations.
