Job summary

Trans Ova Genetics, headquartered in Sioux Center, IA, is seeking a Professional Services Embryologist to support clients, veterinarians, and embryologists in-clinic with occasional travel to plains-region farms across multiple states. You will handle embryo transfers and essential lab procedures that drive breeding success.

The role combines on-site lab work with field support, requiring lab precision, strong client communication, and a commitment to exceptional service across producers

Qualifications

• BS in Animal Science or related field; or Veterinary Technician degree.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time behind a microscope.
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for handling equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel required.
• Vision abilities including color/pattern recognition and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-farm embryo transfer trips and OPU collections with client details.
• Maintain client communication and provide updates on schedules and results.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with fresh and frozen embryo transfers during peak periods.
• Perform OPU and IVF lab procedures including media prep and incubator management.
• Process, search, rinse, wash, grade, freeze, and thaw embryos per protocols.
• Maintain labeling, data entry, and inventory records for embryos and nitrogen tanks.
• Uphold lab sanitation, safety standards, and policy compliance.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, shipping, and production teams.
