Job summary

Equinox is seeking a Maintenance Manager on Duty to lead the club maintenance team and ensure all equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained. You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager and leadership to drive high standards and deliver an exceptional member experience.

The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, operational problem-solving, and a strong service mindset, with opportunities to influence club operations and guest satisfaction at a premier lifestyle brand.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning products and sanitization standards.
• Ability to organize work and manage time effectively.
• Skill in servicing athletic and maintenance equipment where applicable.
• Comfort with using hand tools and maintenance gear.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication.
• Customer service orientation for member-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Extensively train new and existing staff to Equinox standards.
• Notify maintenance manager of all operational issues.
• Assist with club maintenance projects (cleaning, repairs).
• Inspect and maintain cleaning equipment used by staff.
• Inspect and repair club equipment daily (cardio/strength, climate control, music systems).
• Maintain knowledge of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Manage inventory, restocking, and replacement of maintenance items.
• Perform other duties as needed.
