Job summary

Apple Inc. is hiring AI Software Engineers to advance on-device AI for Siri. You will design and ship features that bring app intelligence to Siri, working with app teams to expose capabilities safely and efficiently, and ensuring high performance on-device.

You will shape the layer, prove concepts with partners, and iterate toward scalable architectures while maintaining rigorous quality and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Swift, Objective-C or C++.
• Experience designing tool and function-calling interfaces for LLMs.
• Ability to design interfaces and verify outputs with real app partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of features enabling end-to-end app experiences in Siri.
• Collaborate with app teams to identify where intelligence improves apps and bring to Siri.
• Define the shape of this layer and on-boarding of app partners.
• Implement well-designed, debuggable, high-performance code.
• Diagnose failures in end-to-end app experiences and drive quality improvements.
• Contribute to telemetry and evaluation loops to prove impact of changes.
• Propose architecture changes to help features scale.
• Seek areas to optimize for on-device latency, memory and power.
