About On Demand

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM, with a flexible schedule that varies based on store needs and shift availability. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be scheduled in advance but can create your own schedule by picking up shifts via our myTime mobile scheduling app. Active engagement by picking up and working shifts, and responding to our contact attempts, is required.

Regular attendance and active participation are essential: you must work at least once every 4 weeks (or 5 months starting December 2024), with a minimum of four hours per shift. Failure to meet these requirements may result in administrative termination.

Post-offer, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and complete a short-term training schedule. Afterwards, shifts are scheduled through the myTime app.

Customer Service & Engagement

As a Guest Advocate, your role involves welcoming guests, exceeding service expectations, assisting with store and digital services, and ensuring a quick, easy shopping experience. You will develop skills in communication, problem-solving, and product knowledge.

Typical Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and create a welcoming environment
• Assist guests by understanding their needs through body language and verbal cues
• Stay knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to resolve issues
• Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately
• Promote Target’s loyalty programs and fulfillment services
• Handle returns, de-escalate situations, and support guest recovery
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Support safety and compliance policies
• Assist with order pickup, drive-up, and registry services
