The role focuses on teaching in the on-campus Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) programs across courses such as human behavior in the social environment, research, practice, policy, and social justice on the Richmond, VA campus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Two years post-graduate experience preferred.
• Teaching experience, preferably in higher education, focused on social work education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to engage with a diverse student population.
• Clinical licensure is required for certain courses.
• Commitment to NASW Code of Ethics and university policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction during weekly in-person classes on the Richmond, VA campus.
• Utilize Canvas LMS for course management and materials.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans to facilitate learning.
• Hold weekly office hours to support students.
• Engage with students with timely written and oral communication.
• Provide feedback and grades promptly.
• Fulfill additional duties as required while teaching our programs.
• Adhere to university and School of Social Work policies.
• Other duties as assigned; foster respect and civility among faculty, staff, and students.
