Job summary

Georgetown University on the DC campus is seeking a Recycling Laborer to join the on-campus Facilities team. You will support multi-material recycling, solid waste, compost and paper shredding programs, with duties including lifting heavy items up to 50 pounds and cleaning assigned vehicles and areas.

The role requires a DOT medical card and a valid driver’s license, plus a commitment to safety and reliable teamwork in a busy campus environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• DOT medical card/certificate required.
• Two years of experience performing general labor.
• Experience in recycling and solid waste preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in campus-wide recycling and solid waste operations.
• Lift and empty containers up to 50 pounds.
• Operate bailers, forklifts, or pallet jacks as assigned.
• Maintain clean, organized disposal areas with proper signage.
• Support snow removal operations as needed.
