Job summary

Healthyhorns - University Health Services on UT Austin's campus is seeking a Medical Assistant for Primary Care (Second Floor) to support patient care under supervision of UHS providers. The 11-month, on-site role supports 40 hours per week with an immediate start date.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, accredited MA training with CMA/CCMA certification, CPR within 90 days, and EMR experience. Strong communication and independent work skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; CMA or CCMA certification.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience using electronic medical records.
• Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient evaluation and care under UHS providers.
• Perform procedures such as intake assessments, EKGs, peak flows, vision testing, nebulizer therapy, wound care, etc.
• Maintain high quality patient care with safety and cleanliness.
• Demonstrate punctual attendance and professional demeanor.
• Support a safe, clean work environment.
• Other related functions as assigned.
