Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents who live on campus and care for a group of 8–13 students, guiding their academic, emotional, and social development. This role emphasizes supervision, mentorship, and responsible household management in a structured, family-like setting.

Couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses must be 27 or older.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience working or volunteering with youth.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
