Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA hires married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervise roughly 8–13 students, and support their academic, emotional, and social development.

Initial nine-days-on/three-off shifts lead to placed houseparent roles living with the same group. Responsibilities include supervision, scheduling, medications, driving to activities, devotions, chapel, budgeting, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple housing role; married at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
