Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a Dishwasher (Kitchen Helper) who, under direct supervision, performs routine cleaning and other duties in the General Hospital food service area. Responsibilities include using cleaning equipment, cleaning kitchen areas, dish room and restrooms, transporting soiled and clean dishes, and emptying trash.

The position is 50% time with a schedule of 6:00pm–10:00pm, on campus at General Hospital in Iowa City.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Uses the appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Cleans designated kitchen areas, dish room, and restrooms.
• Transports soiled and clean dishes.
• Empties trash and recyclable material containers.
