Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or mentoring youth.
• Two-person couple role for married partners.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children residing in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one approved dog.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in modeling student support.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental and recreational engagement.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
