Job summary

Brazosport College seeks a dynamic Chair/Full-Time Faculty member to lead the Digital Media Communication and Information Systems Technology programs. Responsibilities span curriculum development, scheduling, and program evaluation, with instruction across digital content creation, multimedia storytelling, and IT-related coursework.

Reports to the Dean and participates in committees while guiding student pathways and stackable credentials.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related discipline from a regionally accredited college (see list).
• 18 graduate credit hours in one of the fields above.
• Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods (face-to-face, online, hybrid).
• Teaching experience in Digital Media Communication or Information Systems Technology at the community college level.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership as Department Chair for Digital Media Communication and Information Systems Technology programs.
• Prepare curriculum, including writing syllabi and developing courses in relevant topics.
• Develops and teaches courses using face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Assist in student advisement and transfer applications; participate in committees.
• Summer teaching and administrative opportunities as enrollment dictates.
