Job summary

Drexel University’s College of Engineering is seeking a part-time Adjunct Instructor to teach Applied Microcontrollers during the winter term 2026-2027 on the main campus. The course is face-to-face, meets twice weekly for 1 hour and 50 minutes, and runs January through March 2027.

The instructor will cover microcontroller hardware/software with emphasis on embedded control, architectures, programming, I/O, timing, debugging, and PC-based tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Sciences, or related.
• Prior experience in teaching electrical engineering related courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach the lecture twice a week, face to face.
• Use Black Board Learn for class materials, assignments, and grading.
• Keep records, post grades (mid-term & final), submit attendance reporting, and mentor students. Provide students with feedback.
• Submit ABET course assessment reports and course binders.
• Responsible for updating the syllabus but keep it consistent with the course requirements and meet program objectives and standards.
• Post and maintain office hours.
• Other duties as assigned by department head.
