Job summary

Moody Gardens in Galveston, TX seeks a Social Media Coordinator to own organic social channels, guest reviews, and email marketing. You’ll plan, create, publish, engage, and report, while joining a small, collaborative team on a gated schedule that values discipline and accuracy.

You will be on camera regularly; the role includes live shoots, content creation, and collaboration with an experienced marketing team in a resort setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Film, Journalism, or related field.
• Portfolio or reel showing your work. Personal channels count.
• Comfort on camera, including unscripted live video.
• Solid video editing skills for social formats (Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
• Working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and how each platform behaves.
• Excellent copy editing with strong grammar and factual accuracy.
• Comfort using AI tools in daily workflow with responsible-use guidelines.
• Available to work Monday–Friday with regular weekend/evening/holiday coverage.
• Ability to move around a large property and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day management of organic social channels, content calendar, publishing and community management.
• Run pre-publish quality process including fact verification and peer review.
• Create and publish short-form vertical video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts).
• Host live video across the property and engage audiences.
• Track performance and report insights and next steps.
