Job summary

Vista Del Mar provides trauma-responsive residential care for youth and families in Southern California. The role involves supervising residents, supporting treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote healthy development and safety.

As part of the direct care staff, you will document progress, assist with daily living activities, and participate in crisis intervention when needed. Training and growth opportunities are offered in a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Residential care experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Preferred bilingual in Spanish.
• Ability to perform Pro-ACT / other safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for youth in a residential setting, individually and in groups.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to support youth in developing social, vocational, educational, hygiene and other skills.
• Develop and implement activities for youth in collaboration with the VH/VDM teams.
• Demonstrate trauma-informed, relationship-based approaches and uphold youth rights and safety.
• Maintain professional demeanor and adherence to dress code, and provide for residents' basic needs (food, clothing, hygiene).
• Document youth progress and communicate findings to clinicians and staff in a timely manner.
• Supervise residents during activities, off-site appointments, and transportation; ensure safety and log usage of agency vehicles.
• Complete required incident reports and daily logs; participate in monthly drills and meetings.
