Job summary

I-2-I Solutions seeks a reliable Water Sampling Technician to perform scheduled compliance sampling and emergency/on-call sampling near Hurlburt Field, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This role focuses on sample collection; laboratory testing is performed separately by a certified lab.

The position requires travel to sampling locations, adherence to DEP SOPs, and the ability to respond within two hours of notification. Working hours are irregular, with a season focused February through October.

Qualifications

• Experience collecting drinking water, environmental water, wastewater, or similar regulatory samples preferred.
• Familiarity with sample preservation, bottle selection, chain-of-custody, and holding times.

Responsibilities

• Collect drinking water samples (approx. 5 annually) and marine-water samples per schedule.
• Assist with triennial compliance sampling for VOC, SOC, inorganic, radionuclide analyses.
• Respond to emergency/short-notice sampling within 2 hours of notification.
• Label, preserve, package, and transport samples; maintain chain-of-custody.
