Job summary

City and County of Denver seeks Certified Water Fitness Instructors to deliver engaging aquatics classes across multiple recreation centers. This on-call, part-time position pays $22.62 per hour and includes enrollment in the City and County of Denver’s 457b retirement plan.

You will teach, supervise safety, and support participants in a welcoming Denver community. Responsibilities include running ~45–60 minute classes, maintaining certifications, keeping attendance, and addressing participant

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; one year substitution allowed.
Certification as instructor and/or trainer by a nationally recognized organization.
CPR/First Aid certification at time of application or within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Instruct water fitness classes of roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour at Denver recreation center pools.
Create enthusiastic, energetic class environments with emphasis on safety and proper movements.
Keep current on all certifications and industry practices.
Maintain attendance records and collect class evaluations as requested.
Answer participant questions and resolve issues or conflicts.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Complete lesson plans.
