Job summary

The City of Fort Lupton is seeking a dynamic Certified Water Fitness Instructor to lead engaging, safe water-based fitness classes at our community recreation center. You will design and deliver group sessions, ensure participant safety, and foster an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere for participants of all fitness levels.

Responsibilities include planning aqua aerobics, demonstrating techniques, maintaining records, promoting programs, and staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience leading group fitness classes, preferably in an aquatic environment.
• Knowledge of water-based exercise principles, including resistance training, cardiovascular fitness, and flexibility.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate participants.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead water fitness classes tailored to diverse participant needs and fitness levels.
• Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and provide modifications for varying abilities.
• Monitor participants during classes to ensure safety and pool regulations compliance.
• Develop engaging class routines to maintain motivation.
• Provide excellent customer service and foster a welcoming environment.
