Job summary

NWS — FreshPure Water Systems is looking to add Service Technicians for on-call gigs in Washington, D.C. This 1099 independent contractor role offers flexible dispatch-based work at $55 per hour, with no fixed schedule and mileage included.

Ideal candidates have hands-on plumbing, electrical, and basic mechanical repair experience, plus a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license. You’ll respond to dispatches, document service visits, and report back to the NWS home office.

Qualifications

• Hands-on plumbing basics (water lines, valves, fittings)
• Hands-on electrical systems and troubleshooting
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment independently
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Smartphone with camera for reporting

Responsibilities

• Respond to on-call dispatches at retail store locations within your area
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues on water vending equipment
• Complete a service report with before and after photos at each visit
• Communicate findings and repair status back to the NWS home office
